Description

Are you interested in learning innovative ways to enhance instruction and achieve student success? If so, this workshop series is for you.

The goal of this 2-part series is to: 1) provide participants with an overview of The New Art and Science of Teaching, an instructional framework developed by the Marzano Research Institute, and 2) introduce participants to targeted and supportive instructional coaching strategies.

Part 2: Coaching Classroom Instruction

To successfully incorporate and implement Marzano’s New Art and Science of Teaching framework, teachers will need a supportive relationship with a colleague, supervisor, or coach.

This workshop will provide program administrators, supervisors, coaches, and lead teachers with a guideline on how to: a) encourage teachers to reflect on and assess how their current practices align with this new framework;
b) develop teacher self-improvement plans to gain mastery of new skills; and c) provide teachers with constructive feedback about their progress, and inspire them to pursue continuous professional growth to enhance their effectiveness in facilitating better student outcomes.
